The 210MW (net) Mindanao Coal-Fired Power Plant Project at the PHIVIDEC Industrial Estate in Villanueva, Misamis Oriental is set to address the challenge of attaining stability in the supply of electricity in the fast growing Mindanao economy. Once operational by end of 2006, the power plant will augment Mindanao’s electricity supply representing about 15% of the island’s total electricity demand. The power plant is equipped with modern technologies and state-of-the-art facilities to ensure safety and environmental compatibility.
