Women beneficiaries of the Gawad Kalinga (GK) Handmade Paper Production Project in Brgy. Dayawan, Villanueva, Misamis Oriental busy themselves producing individually handcrafted cards for specific target markets in Germany. This developed as a Germany-based power company placed additional orders of 12,000 products for its year-end corporate giveaways. The project is one of the livelihood interventions initiated by STEAG State Power Inc. (SPI) for its host communities in Villanueva, Misamis Oriental where the 210MW (net) Mindanao Coal-Fired Power Plant Project is currently being put-up.
