(SPI) for its active involvement in social development and environmental programs. In a visit to SPI's Mindanao Power Plant in Villanueva, Misamis Oriental, European Union Ambassador to the Philippines H.E. Alistair MacDonald expressed delight on the projects implemented by SPI in support of the Philippine government's programs on social services delivery, livelihood improvement, governance and capability building, and environmental protection. He also cited the power plant's efficiency, state-of-the-art operations and substantial contribution to the economic progress of Mindanao as it helps secure for the island a stable and reliable supply of electric power.
