The assistance came in the wake of recent floods that displaced thousands of families and destroyed public and private properties in the area. Some P0.35 million worth of relief assistance were turned over in different occasions to the LGUs of Cagayan de Oro and Misamis Oriental. A substantial part of the assistance came from personal contributions of SPI employees.
